"A sense of history is palpable in this city of 40,000, from the resting place of the Mohegan Chief Uncas, who gave the original land for the settlement; to the home of Christopher Leffingwell, provisioner to George Washington during the American Revolution; to the grand mansions along Broadway that recall the city's prosperity during the Industrial Revolution. Add and eclectic museum, art galleries, and a baseball stadium, and there's plenty for families to see and do here." - Ellen Albanese The Boston Globe
Development began in 1964 on land purchased from Herman Sharpe and the Stott Family. NCDC continued to expand the park until 1996 and now it is a 450 acre Business Park with over 40 businesses and 2,300 employees.
Despite its age, the park is modern and includes residential and commercial establishments making it a place to live and work.
